Head, Meet Wall.

10:31pm EEST/3:32pm EDT

Look at me… Posting machine today. So the whole point of this post is to make fun of myself for being a big dumb retard.

I’ve been doing my own laundry for a while now… One could say I am proficient in the use of the washer and drier. Apparently, I’ve met my match.

I’ve only done laundry twice, thankfully… but it’s still kind of embarrassing and a big pain in the ass…

Basically, the two times I’ve done laundry thus far, plus one out of 3 of the loads I’ve done today… I put the soap in the wrong place on the machine. Not only that, but I put it in a location where it wasn’t even finding its way into the wash. So basically, the washings I’ve done on my clothes thus far have been glorified rinsings. And since I don’t have drier sheets to at least lend SOME aroma to them… A pretty elaborate version of getting wet in the rain and then drying off. No cleaning at all. Now… I don’t think girls have this problem… and I don’t know if other guys do or not. But me, when I re-wear a shirt… I seem to sweat more than I do if I put on a clean one. That is to say, if I pick up the shirt I had on yesterday and put it on, I’ll be more prone to sweat than I would if I put on a clean shirt. Don’t know why… but the same goes for socks and undershirts too. Probably boxers, I haven’t paid that close of attention… And I’ve felt like I’ve been sweating profusely lately. Or at least, more than I should be given the amount of work I’m NOT doing and the overall temperature. I’d say I have the culprit right here! My own idiocy in the operation of these washing machines. Epic fail.

So, I still have some of the stuff in a “to be put away” pile – imagine me, procrastinating! – so tomorrow, when I can get some more laundry soap (I am, of course, out) I’m going to rewash those, the stuff that’s currently in the drier from the first load I did tonight… and all of the black socks I own that are currently in my drawer, that were among the very first load of laundry I did.

Re. Tard.

I make my own brain hurt with that one. Upon closer inspection, I see both how I was confused and how the machine is labeled to inform you of the correct way to put the soap in. So I understand my confusion and also understand that I’m dumb for screwing it up.

*sigh*

Hopefully good things will come of this anyway – and maybe I’ll be a little more comfortable in cleaner clothes, eh?
